Design One Architecture was founded by Michael Moschella in 1997 after working for six years as a design and project architect.
Design One Architecture has provided design solutions with enthusiasm, creativity, and spirit in a responsive manner. Appropriateness and construction feasibility are our guiding principles from project inception to completion. Additionally, as an environmentally sensitive firm, we pursue opportunities with an eye towards sustainable design. Our responsibilities include programming, space planning, preliminary design, construction documents and field administration.
Mr. Moschella graduated from the Kent University School of Architecture and Environmental Design (Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Architecture, and Masters of Architecture). Study included education abroad program in Florence, Italy where he experienced the historical evolution of European art, architecture and urbanism, as well as the contemporary modernization of European cities.
Upon graduation, Mr. Moschella worked for a large Bergen County architecture firm as a Building Design Specialist. In 1997, Mr. Moschella, who desired to be part of the entire design and build process, started his own firm, Design One Architecture, PA. In addition to being a licensed architect in New Jersey, Mr. Moschella also holds licenses in Pennsylvania and Delaware, and is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certified designer.
From the European flair he gained while traveling such countries as France, Italy, Spain, Germany and Greece, to the earthier approach he acquired visiting Egypt, Mr. Moschella frequently draws on his travels for design inspiration.
